Raining Ice In Texas
After a night full of frozen rain drumming our windows, we woke up to 19 degrees, sunshine, and a city under a sheet of ice! Most of the city is shut down, including schools, so we all went our for some "ice skating".
Alex wishes it were this way every day. Cameron was ready with knee pads over his pj's. It looks like a fun day at home with the all the Bang family!
Cowboys boot are best for skating! Really!

Christmas 2008
We had a nice quiet christmas this year at home. We missed our extended families, but is was relaxing to stay home. We enjoyed many fun activities: Christmas parties, seeing the lights, building a gingerbread house, and visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus at Bass Pro Shops.
Cameron loves to wear his suit jacket. He is his dad's biggest fan!
What can I say? Christmas is definitely for kids! Alex brings enthusiasm to all of our moments!
Isn't Devoree so handsome!
The boys love their Pillow Pets! They are fluffy soft animals that fold out into a pillow. Alex got the Panda and Cameron the turtle.

Christmas Parties
Alex's first grade party was a lot of fun! He made christmas ornaments and reindeer cookies, had lots of goodies and a book exchange. He loves his teacher.
Alex and his good friend Celeste point out their penguin creations.

Cameron & I enjoyed his school party!
His whole school sang songs and then we had a birthday party for Jesus-cake and all!

Falling Leaves!
We have gorgeous fall colors this year! The boys were excited to play in the leaves..
Our only problem was that we don't have any trees. So one morning they told me they were going across the street to play in the neighbors leaves. I had a better idea.
We knocked on the neighbor's door and asked if we could have his leaves. He gave us a big chuckle and all the leaves we wanted. I guess he didn't get that kind of visitors very often!

Halloween
Alex was Captain Hook this year for Halloween, as well as in the 1st grader's
"storybook character" parade. Cameron was the handsomest cowboy in Texas!
